February 18

Hello Family,

Well another transfer has come and I am staying in La Canada and I will be a trainer! President Becerra has asked me to train one of the new missionaries. I am very excited, but nervous at the same time. I am glad to be in staying in La Canada. I was covering two wards, but now because there are so many new missionaries I will only be covering one. Every ward is going to have only one set of missionaries. Exciting things are about to happen. I don't know who I am going to train and will be able to pick her up tomorrow! YAY!!

Alright so some great things. We had another lesson with Robin. This lesson was probably the best one that we have had with her. We took a new approach with her and decided that we would pick a chapter in the Book of Mormon and explain it to her and read it with her. In my studies I was thinking about what she needed. I felt strongly that we needed to read with her Alma 22. It answers the question, "Is there a God?" She really enjoyed it. Since we have come to know that she needs to have faith we told her that she needs to do the uncomfortable thing for her and to really trust and believe that she can get an answer. We even challenged her to create an environment to allow the spirit to be there in her home. We also taught her how to recognize the spirit. As we were teaching her I knew that the spirit was there. I honestly feel that she is coming along. Her heart is defiantly softening.

We were also able to do more service for Jan. Jan is also another investigator that is progress little by little. After we were done doing service we talked about the Plan of Salvation. We talked about the pre-earth life and the after life. She had lots of questions and we were able to answer them with the spirit. It was so amazing and I can tell that she is really considering taking the lessons. Jan is in the other ward that I am no longer serving in and I am going to miss her, but I know that these new sisters will be really good for her.

Saturday was a very interesting day. We were in the right places and the right times. A member called us to come help her with something and as we walked in she was not doing well and was having as hard time breathing and was have lots of chest pain. We ended up calling 911. She thinks that she was having a heart attack. It was so scary, but knowing the skills that I know I was able to be there and help her. She was taken to the hospital and doing better. This was an amazing experience because we were suppose to go and help her first thing that morning and forgot and didn't get there till about 12. Something had told us that we had to go see. I am so glad that we followed that prompting.

We were also able to meet with Kelsey and to teach her about personal revelation. We felt like this is what she needed. This was so inspired because she was wanting a question answered and we were able to help her with that. She is deciding if she should continue her path in the art world or quit that because it really has taken over her life and she doesn't feel like this is what she wants to do anymore. She really wants to be in a religion and wants to be able to have time to do that. I told her that she should say a prayer and open the Book of Mormon to a random place. I bore testimony that she will find her answer and I know because I have done the same thing.

I love being a missionary! I love serving the Lord and helping find those lost sheep. I know that the Plan of Salvation is real. I know that we all have a purpose here on this earth and that we will return back to our Heavenly Father again. I know that we are here to experience challenges, trials, and afflictions so help us grow in faith. I know that Heavenly Father loves us so dearly and answers our prayers. I know that all things are possible through the Atonement of Christ. I am grateful for the strength and the courage that I am able to have to be able to accomplish all the great things that Heavenly Father has planned for me to do. I love this GOSPEL!!

I love you all so much and so grateful for all of you. I hope you have a wonderful week! Talk to you next week!

Thanks for the package mom! Loved the socks, scarfs, and the letters!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY! I LOVE YOU BUDDY!

Love Sister Ackley
